Two Thirds North is a high-quality print magazine produced by the Master Class in Creative Writing and Editing at the Department of English, Stockholm University. Every year, master students – under supervision by the editors Paul Schreiber (poetry) and Adnan Mahmutovic (fiction) – make a selection of poetry, fiction, essays, and artworks submitted by creative imaginations from all over the world. We also solicit works from our contributing editors and do exclusive interviews with exciting authors.

The Department of English started its creative writing endeavor in 1989 with Caryl Philips. We have steadily developed new courses, taught by some of the best contemporary authors. We are currently working toward an international low-residency Master of Fine Arts in collaboration with The University of Adelaide and Bath Spa University. The program will have an international faculty and consist of a combination of distance mentoring with intense generative workshops in prose, poetry and song lyrics, and a course on editing and publishing.
